Teacher of Design & Technology and Computing Location: Camberley, Surrey Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £37,868 (M1) - £56,154 (UPS3) plus SEN allowance £2,786 Start Date: January 2026 About the School We are recruiting on behalf of our partner school in Camberley, a new SEND school that has recently opened its doors to learners aged 7 -17. The school is built on a foundation of inclusion, creativity, and care, providing a high-quality, individualised education for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, moderate learning difficulties (MLD), and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The Role We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Teacher of Design & Technology and Computing to deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that spark curiosity and nurture creativity in our pupils. You will play a key role in developing both practical and digital learning provision, supporting students to gain valuable skills for life, work, and independence. Working within a collaborative and supportive team, you will ensure that every pupil has access to a curriculum that is meaningful, inspiring, and tailored to their individual learning journey. Key Responsibilities: * Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality DT and Computing lessons adapted to meet the varied needs of SEND learners. * Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and confidence. * Integrate practical design, technology, and computing skills into creative projects promoting independence and problem-solving. * Use adaptive teaching strategies and assistive technology to support communication and learning. * Collaborate with colleagues, therapists, and the SENDCO to ensure pupil progress in line with individual EHCP targets. * Maintain accurate assessment records and contribute to personalised learning plans. * Engage with parents, carers, and external professionals to support holistic pupil development. * Play an active role in developing the school’s growing DT and Computing curriculum and facilities. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent. * Experience teaching Design & Technology and/or Computing, ideally within a SEND or inclusive setting. * A strong understanding of differentiation and adaptive teaching for diverse learning needs. * Creativity, flexibility, and a nurturing approach to classroom practice. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. * A commitment to continuous professional development and contributing to the school’s growth.
