A well-regarded secondary school in Bingham, Nottinghamshire is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Teacher of Religious Education (RE) to join its Humanities faculty. About the Role As Teacher of RE, you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to contribute to KS5 depending on curriculum offer and experience. You will deliver a well-sequenced curriculum that develops: Secure knowledge of key world religions and beliefs Strong ethical reasoning and the ability to evaluate different viewpoints Confident written argument through modelling, structure and purposeful practice High-quality discussion and respectful debate, building oracy and listening skills GCSE success through clear routines, exam technique and precise feedback Pupils explore a range of topics including beliefs and practices, philosophy of religion and contemporary ethical issues. Lessons are designed to encourage curiosity while ensuring pupils can think critically, write with clarity and support their views with evidence. The Department RE sits within a supportive Humanities faculty where collaboration and shared planning are valued. Teachers work together to develop engaging resources, refine assessment practice and ensure pupils build knowledge over time.
