Overview

Salary: £27,900 + Up to 6% performance bonus

Working location: Field Based, Washington (North East England)

Employment type: full time, permanent

Important: This is a physically demanding role requiring visits to construction sites and inspection of buildings throughout the build process, including working frequently at height. Applicants must consider this before applying.

What You’ll Be Doing And Receive

* Comprehensive training: classroom training at Milton Keynes Academy, hands-on experience on house-building sites with mentors, and funded training towards becoming a “Registered Building Inspector.”
* Professional Growth and Development: Earn recognised qualifications and build a professional portfolio of skills and knowledge highly valued across the UK’s construction and housing industry.
* Career Progression: Clear career paths from Trainee, Assistant, Building Inspector, Senior to Principal Inspector with milestones and multiple promotion routes.

What We’re Looking For

* Excellent people and communication skills, verbal and written.
* Some hands-on construction experience in residential house building.
* Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Keen learner to obtain good job knowledge through continual professional development.
* Strong interest in house building, learning industry improvements, building standards and safety.
* A construction-related qualification or experience is advantageous but not required.
* IT literate and able to learn new software packages.
* Ability to work as part of a team with a “Can do” attitude.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
