Description
To support aplex Disease Lawyer to manage and progress claims in accordance with appropriate strategies to secure desired oues for clients at appropriate levels of profitability. The Assistant will be supporting aplex Disease Lawyer on a variety ofplex disease cases.
Key Accountabilities
1. Reviewing documents and preparing reports
2. Dealing with disclosure
3. Reviewing evidence (including medical / personnel records)
4. Conducting investigations with Insured / obtaining witness statements
5. Instructing Counsel / Experts
6. Research
7. Drafting generally
8. Attending conferences and Trials with Counsel
9. Dealing with routine correspondence
10. Court appointments.
11. Liaising with and taking instructions from Insurers and Insureds
12. Ensure adherence to Court timetables
13. Adhere to the Keoghs Values
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
14. Technically proficient in dealing with a range of mixed disease cases
15. Effective negotiator
16. Ability to use own initiative
17. Flexibility in relation to tasks undertaken
18. Good listening and verbalmunication skills
19. Ability to maintain concentration and pay attention to detail
20. Ability to self-organise and self-prioritise
21. Ability to work under pressure and to target
22. An enthusiastic and hardworking individual
23. Good level of IT skills
