Job Description
The Role Join our Multi-Academy Trust to lead the operational delivery of an effective payroll and pension service. You will act as the key link between the Trust, our schools, and outsourced providers to ensure everyone is paid accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
* Payroll Liaison: Act as the primary contact for the outsourced payroll provider, validating trial runs and processing variations.
* Pensions Lead: Coordinate LGPS and TPS schemes, managing auto-enrolment, opt-outs, and leaver notifications.
* Technical Support: Undertake complex calculations (maternity, overpayments, retirements) and provide specialist guidance on conditions of service.
* Compliance & Audit: Lead the Teachers’ Pensions EOYC audit and ensure all financial controls meet statutory requirements.
* Reconciliations: Manage monthly pension deductions and import payroll reports into budgeting software for full reconciliation.
Requirements
* Experience: Proven track record in payroll and pension administration (Education sector experience is a significant advantage).
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of LGPS/TPS regulations, PAYE, and auto-enrolment legislation.
* Attributes: High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
* Compliance: Subject to an Enhanced DBS check
