Salary: £30,601 - £34,699 per annum
Sanctuary Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our client's team, providing exceptional personalised nursing care for our service users. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in leading our care team to deliver high-quality support to service users and their families.
Key Relationships:
* Line management responsibility for Healthcare Assistants
* Collaborating with the nursing team and the wider multi-disciplinary team
* Taking charge of shifts in the absence of a Senior Nurse/Team Leader
* Working alongside and supporting volunteers within the team
* Representing the service at internal and external meetings
* Maintaining effective communication with all departments
Complexity and Accountability:
* Using initiative and problem-solving skills
* Taking charge of the clinical area in the absence of the Senior Nurse
* Demonstrating effective coping strategies in a stressful environment
* Participating in care audits and research activities
* Maintaining responsibility for equipment, resources, and stock control
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing support, leadership, recognition, and supervision to team members
* Demonstrating activities to new or less experienced colleagues
* Supporting education, training, and guidance to carers, colleagues, and students
* Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualised clinical care
* Using evidence-based practice to improve service users' care
* Organising admissions, discharges, and maintaining records
* Ensuring service user participation in care planning
* Managing service users' care during shifts and liaising with medical and nursing colleagues
* Adhering to all policies and procedures
* Maintaining a safe working environment and confidentiality
Qualifications Required:
* NMC Registered Nurse
* Completion of NMC Standards for Student Supervision and/or Assessment or willingness to complete training
* Evidence of continued professional development
Experience, Skills, and Ability:
* Effective communication skills
* Knowledge of current legislation within the independent care sector
* Experience in neurological or palliative care is desirable
* Ability to work both independently and within a team
* Competent in implementing and monitoring clinical standards
* Demonstrable leadership and supervision skills
* Competent IT skills
