JOB TITLE: PROJECTS INTERN
This is a contract position
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Follow the Petrofac Project Management Process in the management and discharge of Project activities.
2. Participate in the wider Petrofac interests in supporting content for bids, case studies and other corporate activities, such as presenting at conferences and education outreach
3. Support leadership and commitment to the Petrofac values, including HSSE and quality performance by attending site visits
4. Maintain active development and involvement as a member of Petrofac's Project Management Academy and Centre of Excellence.
5. Project or work package focal point with supervised authority within the limits of the project parameters.
6. Accountable for competently performing assigned project tasks with appropriate supervision.
7. Work as a project team member or a member of the project leadership team.
8. Responsible for maintaining project or work package progress against agreed cost and schedule.
9. Able to analyse, diagnose and use project management tools and professional judgement to resolve discreet problems at a project or work package level, using data analytics to define and improve project performance
10. Support project management and controls team in the preparation of reporting
11. Inform the relevant project management focal point of the performance of the project or work package element.
12. Work to the project interface document to maintain the alignment of client and Petrofac processes during the project lifecycle.
13. Maintain communication with Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning leads where necessary within the project element.
14. Support the risk management process during the project.
15. Support the management of change process during the project.
16. Work to the Project Execution Plan, ensuring compliance and assurance of delivery against the PEP objectives.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
17. Awareness of project management.
18. Able to question and challenge ideas in a positive and professional manner.
19. Competent communicator to articulate key project goals and objectives and present them clearly to the project team and stakeholders.
20. Able to challenge others in a constructive manner
21. Awareness to support and partake in change and risk management practices.
22. Basic awareness of project management, understanding of project management principles, processes and terminology.
23. Working towards a relevant undergraduate degree
24. The candidate will complete the APM Project Fundamentals Qualification course as part of their internship
