Junior Buyer
Job Location: Wimborne, Dorset
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: Excellent salary depending on experience
Hours: 8:30am – 5pm Monday – Friday + free onsite parking
We are currently working with a well-established e-commerce company who are one of the UK’s leading business suppliers and are seeking an experienced Junior Buyer to join their dynamic, busy and welcoming Procurement Team.
This company are rapidly growing and now need the help of an experienced Junior Buyer to assist with strengthening brand awareness and strategic planning to launch to new products to market.
This is a really varied role that with involve a wide range of duties including liaising and negotiating with suppliers; building and developing relationships with new and existing suppliers; data analysis and effective forecasting and ensuring databases are kept up to date with accurate supplier information.
Key responsibilities within this role will include:
* Sourcing new suppliers and materials, negotiating the best deal regarding prices, delivery schedules and product ranges to suit company requirements.
* Assisting the procurement team with bringing new products to market.
* Processing purchase orders for the procurement products
* Ensuring orders are placed correctly and that they arrive on time.
* Collaborate with the sales team regarding product, stock and bespoke product enquiries
* Undertaking forecasting and analysis of market trends, marketing spend, new product introductions and product range analysis.
* Establishing an understanding of each supplier’s capabilities and current capacity
* Visit trade shows and supplier sites when required
* General administration duties including ensuring keeping spreadsheets and customer databases are kept up to date with the correct information.
The successful applicant will possess:
* Previous experience within a Buying / Procurement or Purchasing position
* Ability to source, negotiate and build relationships with new and existing suppliers
* Experience of undertaking analysis of suppliers, consumers or trends would be beneficial within this position
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to produce detailed and accurate reports
* Strong written communication and verbal communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* A methodical approach to problem solving and making decisions
* Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft products
Working hours are 8:30am – 5pm
