5 CARE ASSISTANTS WITH CARE HOME EXPERIENCE REQUIRED ASAP TO JOIN OUR RESIDENTIAL CARE SERVICE. These contracts are initially likely to run for a minimum of 4 months. Applicants will need to be located /relocated here on the Isle of Wight and able to travel to and from their residential setting so a driving license and vehicle will be highly desirable due to our rural nature

Key Responsibilities
Help clients who need assistance with washing and toileting, dressing and undressing
Help clients who have limited mobility or physical disabilities, making the best of aids provided.
Follow instructions from senior staff and written information within client care plans
Assist in the control of continence, providing comfort with dignity.
Care for clients who are temporarily unwell.
Assist in giving stimulation to clients by helping them continue with hobbies and activities
Answer emergency bells and the main door (when applicable).
Make visitors welcome and offer refreshments and any assistance they may require.
Read and write reports when necessary.
Make and change beds and leave rooms tidy. Empty commodes where necessary.
Assist clients who need help at mealtimes, lay tables and trays, serve meals, wash up if necessary,
In the absence of catering staff prepare snacks and drinks, clear and tidy dining room.
• To provide an excellent standard of professional care to service users in an effective and timely manner
• To ensure a safe as possible living environment for service users whilst respecting their views and choices
• To work beyond factual care plan information and to understand service users individuality and needs;
• To establish an effective relationship with client and their families to build trust and confidence
• To demonstrate a high level of personalised skill and care in personal care (including total body washing, toileting, dressing, feeding) in line with procedures and ensuring dignity, respect and consideration is maintained at all times
• To demonstrate a high level of personalised skill and care in moving and positioning in line with procedures and ensuring dignity, respect and consideration is maintained at all times
• To demonstrate a high level of personalised skill and care in medication, ensuring medication is prompted/assisted as necessary and check sheets are completed
• To undertake essential domestic duties including cleaning, laundry and ironing
• To undertake purchasing provisions to provide for an adequate, balanced and stimulating diet where necessary
• To assist the client with managing their finances where necessary including collection pensions, paying bills in line with Company procedures
• To make referrals for additional equipment or services needed by the client
• To effectively liaise with relevant stakeholders regarding client care
• To ensure all administrative processes, documentation, client records and files are effectively managed
• To consistently ensure all Health and Safety and care safety standards / practices are a priority and are adhered to at all times;
Applicants will be entering CQC care settings and therefore will need to be able to present a valid Covid-19 vaccination certificate
