As the ideal candidate you will have experience of Quality, Health Safety and Environmental systems management in a Production / Manufacturing operation. You will be experienced in dealing with production non-conformance and leading investigations to deliver corrective actions and process improvement to drive quality improvement and waste reduction. You will lead a team internally across H&S and Quality and work closely with customers to achieve the company objectives. As the SHEQ Manager your role and responsibilities will involve: Responsible for driving improvements in product quality and service levels to deliver excellent standards of customer care, with regular feedback for continuous improvement. Responsible for effective and timely response to any customer concerns raised. Provide visible leadership in SHEQ standards, behaviours and systems of work. Responsible for effective SHEQ policies and systems for improved performance. Ensure a safe working environment with the goal of zero harm to employees. Promote a positive SHEQ culture with engagement, training and regular audits. Manage effective hazard, near miss, accident environmental incident reporting system. Lead the HSE Committee with regular review and driving improved standards. Develop risk COSHH assessments, SOPs, incident alerts and care points. Responsibility for leading all continuous improvement, PDCA practical problem solving and lean manufacturing activities to achieve operational excellence. Responsible for measurement and testing of products for quality verification, together with adopting technology such as CMM systems for improving accuracy repeatability. Lead introduction of best practice quality improvements using problem solving and CI techniques. Excellent standards of SHEQ CI application, communication, personal discipline, time management, problem solving, continuous improvement and employee engagement. Maintain SHEQ KPIs to monitor improvements, promote new ideas, CI learning. Support and ensure full compliance with internal and external SHEQ audits. Ensure full compliance with UK SHEQ Regulations and company standards. Ensure full compliance with ISO45001, 14001 and 50001 standards. Responsible for driving improved SHEQ CI standards with suppliers. Responsible for effective and timely response to any customer concerns raised. Responsible for all quality documentation, process capability studies, process auditing and maintaining equipment calibrations. The role is Quality and production performance biased and is starting from a good point from both Quality and H&S perspectives.
