Overview
Imaging Assistants are an integral part of the Radiology Team providing a high standard of patient-centered care to deliver and maintain a good patient experience.
Qualifications
* GCSE (or equivalent) in four subjects, including English Language and Mathematics
* Previous experience in a caring role/profession
* Committed to providing quality care
* Highly motivated and want to be a part of a dedicated team
* Excellent interpersonal skills and strong patient focus
Role and Responsibilities
* You will become part of a professional and caring workforce delivering high standards of care to our patients, which is both challenging and rewarding.
* The post will be a support role to patients undergoing tests and procedures, assisting consultants and radiographers performing radiology examinations.
* To ensure safe and effective clinical practice
* To enhance the patient’s experience
* To manage and develop the performance of the team
* To ensure effective contribution to the delivery of the organisation’s objectives
Location and Rotation
The Radiology facility at New Cross Hospital is a purpose-built unit completed in 2003, with excellent facilities for patients and staff. There is a brand new community diagnostic centre (CDC) with Radiology facilities at Cannock Chase Hospital. This post may require rotation across both sites as required by service needs.
Working Arrangements
Applicants must be prepared to work flexibly to include early morning, evening and weekend shifts. Participation in the Bank/Statutory Holiday Rota is a requirement of this post.
