* Are you a professional (current or retired) with skills and knowledge to share?
* Looking for a rewarding and flexible way to use your life experiences to make a real difference?
* Do you have 1 hour to spare every 1-2 weeks?
Mentoring and Supported Volunteering (MSV) needs you as a volunteer mentor
Times are increasingly hard just now; MSV is here to support those facing barriers to employment or further opportunities, by recruiting and training volunteer mentors who can provide one-to-one support.
We have a large variety of mentees looking for different kinds of support, so we need mentors from a range of different backgrounds, who are willing to share their skills and experience to help these individuals further develop and reach their goals.
MSV mentoring is a flexible and rewarding opportunity to put your own professional and life experiences to great use, giving only 1 hour every 1-2 weeks and meeting with your mentee (online or in person) when it works for you both, to give them support and advice in taking their next steps, widening their networks, and helping to increase their confidence It can also be a great way to grow your own network and developing your coaching skills simultaneously.
Mentoring and Supported Volunteering (MSV) is part of the All in Dundee support consortium (part of the Discover Works pathway), supporting individuals in the local community to overcome any barriers they face in sustaining jobs or progressing in work.
* Training and ongoing support is provided.
* Volunteer expenses are reimbursed.
* PVG application is handled and by Volunteering Matters
