The Role:
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, your primary responsibility will be to lead the goods in process. We're looking for someone proactive and detail-oriented who can identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to ensure a smooth, efficient, and well-documented workflow.
Key Tasks:
Here's what you'll be doing day-to-day:
Follow the Goods In process in line with ISO9001
Lead inspection process of product deliveries
Identify and implement processes improvements
Replenish stores and Kanban systems with new stock, reporting low levels promptly.
Pick component 'kits' in line with production order requirements and distribute as directed by the Production Controller/Manager.
Carry out picking, putting away, and perpetual stock counts accurately within agreed target levels.
Daily receipt entries into our ERP System and WMS software
Main Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate stock levels, notifying the Purchasing Department promptly when stocks of components are becoming low.
Optimise stock: Implement efficient stock control strategies for inbound and storage of products.
Adhere to all health and safety requirements and company procedures at all times.
Maintain a tidy, safe, and efficient work environment.
Assist with the annual stocktake and interim stock counts as required.
Work and communicate effectively with colleagues, contributing to a positive, team-oriented environment.
Contribute ideas to support continuous improvement of production and stores methods.
Assist with other aspects of purchasing where necessary, including stock control and administration.
Ensure correct recycling and clearing of packaging materials.
Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to support the department and wider business.
