Responsibilities
Provide emergency personal care and support to older adults living in their own homes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in line with department policies, procedures and standards.
Requirements
* SVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care at SCQF Level 6, or equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
* If you do not hold the qualification, you must undertake and complete an SVQ Level 2 course within the required timescale to meet SSSC requirements.
* SSSC registration is essential. Non‑members must register as soon as possible and must be registered within six months of starting.
* Current driving licence and access to a vehicle are required; reasonable adjustments will be considered for those unable to hold a licence due to disability.
* PVG Scheme membership (or update) is required for regulated work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults. Members must provide a current PVG record before formal offer.
* Overseas criminal record check required if you have spent more than 3 months outside the UK within the last 5 years.
