Better Decisions Begin with You – Aon shapes decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world. When you join us, you’ll become empowered to make the same impact, as you explore ways of becoming a more relevant, connected and valued professional.

Commercial Risk Solutions: Our Commercial Risk teams are responsible for helping clients protect their business in a world increasingly exposed to new risks, whether that’s extreme weather events or the emergence of AI. Aon aims to provide a tailored approach to risk transfer as well as our extensive ability to support with risk management advice and services. We assist clients with their insurance buying decisions, aiming to optimise the balance of risk transfer and retention financing through valuation and analysis.

Your role as a Client Management Apprentice in Commercial Risk: Join our Commercial Risk Apprenticeship scheme as a valued and permanent employee from day one. Working alongside your colleagues, you will be supporting clients in the management of their insurance programmes. This includes both the placement and supporting our clients with risk identification. You will have the unique responsibility of supporting well‑known brand names, ensuring they have the insurance cover, which could include a wide range of insurance from property through to cyber.

Responsibilities

* Assist in the day‑to‑day running of client risk and insurance programmes
* Carry out administrative tasks contributing to the broking process

* Support attendance at industry networking events

Your Development

As an Aon apprentice you will be enrolled onto our Development Programme, built around three core elements:

* Business learning – on‑the‑job learning and experiences that develop your knowledge and understanding of the team and solution line you have joined.
* Centralised learning – UK apprentices complete an Aon induction, monthly webinars, business skills training and workshops, designed to help you develop your knowledge of Aon, build your confidence and your network across our business.
* Professional qualifications – we will fully support your study towards a Level 4 Insurance Apprenticeship and Certificate in Insurance through Chartered Insurance Institute professional qualification, including paid study leave and extensive study and tuition materials.

Building Relationships

* Apprentice network – meet apprentices from all areas of Aon in the UK to navigate our business and grow a support network from day one.
* Mentor – an experienced colleague who can help you out with career guidance, specific issues or any general thoughts or queries you have.
* Business seniors – many experienced colleagues will be actively interested and involved in your development.
* The Early Careers Team – here to help smooth the way, open doors and advise you on developing your knowledge, skills and prospects.

Your career beyond your apprenticeship – Once you’ve completed the formal apprenticeship programme, you’ll continue to receive lots of support at Aon. We would expect you to be promotion ready within 18 to 24 months and you will continue to grow your career in the insurance industry. You will also be able to continue your studies for the CII qualifications through to Chartered status. Alongside your development programme, we’ve mentioned above, you’ll have the chance to explore different career paths within Aon.
