Senior Support Worker / Team Leader
Pay: £14.30‑£15.36 per hour
Overview
Madiba is a community of dedicated people supporting young individuals aged 7‑18. As a Senior Support Worker / Team Leader you will lead daily activities, oversee shifts, and contribute to care plans while building positive relationships with children, families, and external agencies.
Responsibilities
* Develop positive relationships with the young people in our care, their families, and external agencies
* Lead shifts within the home and supervise staff
* Contribute to the young person’s care plans and any risk assessments, supporting implementation and reviews
* Support young people with daily activities, educational needs and emotional wellbeing
* Ensure that good quality records are maintained as required
Qualifications
* Completed NVQ/Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare is essential
* Experience working within a children’s residential setting
* Ability to interact with young people and manage challenging behaviours calmly
* Full UK driving licence
* Over 21 years of age to meet industry regulations
* Flexibility to work shifts including weekends, evenings and sleep‑in duties on a rota basis – shifts 7:30am – 11:00pm and sleep‑ins 11:30pm – 7:30am 2 days on 4 days off rolling rota (paid at £50 per sleep)
