MoneyGram Haas F1 Team celebrates its tenth season in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship. We are here to challenge the competition and invite you to join us. The first American Formula 1 team to compete since 1986, MoneyGram Haas F1 Team made a memorable points-scoring debut at the 2016 Australian Grand Prix and continues to grow with its future objectives, coming off the second-best season to date in Formula 1.

General Summary
This position reports to the Direct Purchasing Manager; is a six-month fixed-term contract and is located in Banbury, UK. Responsible for metallic machined components procurement. Proactively ensures the timely delivery of quality parts within budget, while maintaining best practices are adopted and followed.
Responsibilities
* General Responsibilities:
* Responsible for sourcing and delivering parts, ensuring delivery, cost, and quality targets are achieved.
* Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop trustworthy relationships between all personnel and departments.
* Lead the negotiation of parts pricing to deliver best value for the team.
* Operate within budgets and achieve agreed procurement cost saving targets.
* Other duties as assigned by Direct Purchasing Manager or their designee.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Follow purchasing guidelines, policies and procedures, continually challenging cost, quality and lead time.
* Support the Direct Purchasing Manager in ensuring individual tasks are completed in line with programme requirements.
* Responsible for raising Purchase Orders, expediting, and progressing deliveries.
* Experience to foresee potential quality and delivery risks, with the knowledge to implement corrective actions.
* Possess the relevant technical skills to determine appropriate supplier selection, understand manufacturing processes, and negotiate costs.
* Provide feedback to engineering on changes that could reduce cost and/or improve quality without negatively affecting the part.
* Audit a vendor’s capability, capacity and sustainability; look beyond the existing motorsport community for the best solution.
* Offer multiple supply options and select the optimum solution per situation.
* Develop and maintain relationships with parts vendors to obtain and purchase parts.
* Responsible for invoice queries and liaising with the finance department to ensure resolution.
* Negotiate terms and conditions for internal submission and review.
* Participate in the development of specifications for equipment and products.
* Work with all levels of the team, and follow all safety regulations in all venues.
* Other duties as assigned by Direct Purchasing Manager or their designee.
Education and Work Experience
* Bachelor’s degree or other professional qualification and/or 3+ years of Purchasing experience.
* Strong technical understanding of machined parts manufacturing processes.
* Knowledge and experience of sourcing other commodities would be advantageous.
* Experience of working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with the ability to deliver to time-critical deadlines.
* Motorsport industry experience would be advantageous.

* Quick decision-making skills while working through problems analytically.

* Good understanding of engineering principles, materials application and manufacturing processes required.

Equipment and Applications
* Proficient with industry-standard ERP systems.
* Proficient in software applications such as Power BI, Dassault 3D Experience, Microsoft Office, SharePoint.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
An ability to work in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role may require occasional domestic and international travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends.
This position may require lifting up to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. The work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids. All employees must comply with the Company Health and Safety Policy and relevant statutory Health and Safety legislation.
