Galvan, a leading luxury womenswear brand renowned for its modern elegance and exceptional craftsmanship, is seeking a highly organized and motivated Atelier Manager to join our team. With a focus on luxury design, Galvan is dedicated to creating sophisticated, timeless pieces that embody both style and substance.
As the Atelier Manager, you will be responsible for a small team of seamstresses, pattern cutters to develop patterns, toiles, final SMS and small production runs, as well as custom and VIP projects. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the atelier team and ensuring seamless communication between the design, pattern cuttng, andproduct development departments. Working closely with the Head of Design, you will manage workflows and timelines, ensuring that our seasonal collections are executed efficiently and tothe highest standards of craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and manage the daily operations of the atelier, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to the design and production timelines
* Serve as the main point of contact between the design team and pattern cutters to ensure clear and accurate communication of design specifications and technical details
* Ensure smooth transition of design information from the design team to the pattern cutters,providing technical solutions and suggestions to meet design requirements
* Manage weekly the project workload for each team member, reviewing on a weekly basis withthe Head of Design
* Oversee the fittng process, ensuring pattern cutters accurately implement changes andamend patterns accordingly
* Work with the design team to ensure all deadlines are met and completed in line with theCP, with sufficient time to incorporate amendments and edits before final presentation
* Support the design and production development teams in the execution of the seasonal collection, ensuring designs are realized accurately and efficiently
* Collaborate with the design team to monitor and maintain adherence to the seasonal design critical path
* Oversee fabric testing and trials, ensuring all materials are reviewed in a timely manner inaccordance with the CP
* Coordinate annual leave and absence schedules with the Development and ProductionDirector, ensuring atelier workloads remain balanced and the critical path stays on track
* Manage the ordering of atelier supplies
* Administer atelier budgets and ensure resources are allocated efficiently
* Coordinate with the Development and Production Director and the Head of Design to managethe freelance team schedule, ensuring seamless integration with atelier operations
* Ensure patterns sent to external mills are properly tracked and returned promptly
Your profile:
* Previous experience in leading a luxury atelier
* Strong technical knowledge and understanding of garment making, fit and fabric
* Strong experience in both flou and tailoring
* In-depth knowledge of production requirements and sample management
* Proven experience managing teams and meeting deadlines within a fast-pacedenvironment, high-pressure environment
* Exceptional cross-functional collaboration abilities, with a proven track record of building strong relationships across different departments
* Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and processimprovement
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
