GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the team at our vibrant and nurturing SEN school in Winchester.
About the School:
The school caters to children and young people with a range of complex learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties, speech and language difficulties, and sensory processing needs.
What you’ll be doing as a SEND Teaching Assistant:
Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups with personalised learning
Support pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and other learning difficulties.
Helping children regulate emotions, build trust, and feel secure
Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and the wider team
Creating a calm, structured, and supportive environment every day
What we’re looking for in a SEND Teaching Assistant:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred, not essential)
A calm, patient approach and the ability to think on your feet.
Someone who genuinely cares and is ready to make a difference
To work with GSL Education as a SEND Teaching Assistant, you should:
Have the right to work in the UK.
Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
