We are looking for an experienced Tandoor Chef for a fine dining, Michelin standard, Indian restaurant in London.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook, and present a wide range of tandoor dishes including breads, kebabs, grills, and marinades to high quality and consistency
Operate and maintain the tandoor oven safely and efficiently
Develop and standardise recipes, marinades, and portion control
Ensure all food is prepared according to menu specifications, taste, and presentation standards
Supervise and train junior kitchen staff and commis chefs in tandoor section
Assist in menu planning and new dish development
Monitor food quality, freshness, and wastage control
Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
Coordinate with Sous Chef and Executive Chef for daily kitchen operations
Manage stock levels, requisitions, and proper storage of ingredients
Ensure timely service during peak hours and special events
