A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Supplier Quality Engineer supporting our Additive Manufacturing business, your day will involve close engagement with suppliers to ensure the highest standards of quality for additive components and processes. You’ll lead supplier qualification activities, monitor supplier performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
How You’ll Make An Impact
1. Lead supplier qualification, and product & process qualification, including audits, capability assessments, risk categorizationand quality planning for additive manufacturing suppliers.
2. Monitor and report supplier performance using KPIs, identifying trends and risks, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
3. Drive supplier development and improvement initiatives, supporting suppliers in enhancing quality and reliability.
4. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to support new product introductions and new suppliers qualification.
5. Ensure supplier compliance with relevant standards (, ISO 9001, AS9100), conducting regular audits and supporting supplier development programs.
6. Maintain accurate quality records, qualification documentation, and supplier performance reports.
What you bring
7. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering, materials science, or a related field.
8. Huge energy, a passion for progression and dynamic enough to manage a new function/business area with a view to grow significantly. There is a strong surrounding Quality community you'll want/need to immerse yourself in.
9. Demonstrable experience in supplier quality management, ideally within additive manufacturing or advanced manufacturing environments.
10. Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (PPAP, APQP, 8D, FMEA).
11. Experience conducting supplier audits and qualifications.
12. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
13. Ability to work effectively across cultural boundaries and with cross-functional teams.
14. Proficiency in quality management systems (ISO 9001) and data analysis tools (Excel, SAP).
15. Willingness to travel up to 30% (domestically and internationally).
