Position
This is a London position, however due to expansion we are also considering applicants from Birmingham, Nottingham and the surrounding area.
Role Summary
* The Subject Lead is responsible for leading and number of modules in the teaching, curriculum development, and day-to-day management of the Foundation Degree programmes in business, hospitality, and related fields. This includes ensuring high-quality learning experiences that promote student retention, progression, and achievement.
* The role involves collaboration with the Course Director, contributing to curriculum innovation, professional practice, recruitment, and industry engagement. Teaching will be across weekdays, evenings, and weekends as required.
* The LCCA Foundation Degree is delivered during weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Candidates should be prepared to teach across these times, depending on their preference, workload, and business needs. Please indicate your preferred teaching schedule (weekdays vs weekends) in your application.
* The post holder will need an excellent understanding of Foundation Degrees and supporting students from non-traditional backgrounds.

Key Activities & Responsibilities
* Teach and manage a number of modules in the curriculum at Levels 4–5
* Lead subject-specific planning, assessment, timetabling, and resource management
* Develop course materials, online content, unit handbooks, and assessment strategies
* Provide academic and pastoral support;
* Monitor and ensure student progress across relevant modules
* Maintain industry links and up to date subject knowledge
* Lead standardisation and quality assurance processes
* Participate in recruitment, course committees, and exam boards
* Contribute to scholarly activity and/or professional practice
* Support student engagement, progression, and industry-related opportunities
* Promote equality, diversity, and inclusivity in all teaching and learning
* Undertake continuous professional development and manage staff development

* Business Research, Sustainability, Event Design, and Real-world Business Practice
Knowledge & Skills
* Ability to design and deliver units of study that introduce and develop the complex range of theoretical and practical concerns of the discipline
* Demonstrate an understanding of assessment practice including how to assess the work and progress of students and provide constructive, developmental and challenging feedback
* Demonstrate relevant professional networks and relationships that bring expert external knowledge to student learning, employment and enterprise
* Effectively plan and manage workload, prioritising work to meet deadlines and achieve personal, team and course objectives
* Collaborates and works effectively within team and across professional groups
* Works effectively and respectfully with a wide range of people
* Fosters inclusive and constructive teamwork and problem-solving
Experience
* Experience of teaching & assessment in a Higher Education environment
* Experience of curriculum design and development and the creation of course materials that support student development
* Experience of an innovative and inclusive approach to teaching in Higher Education, contributing to student success
* Evidence of commitment to equality, diversity, and continuous improvement
