Sport and Behaviour Intervention Support A lovely specialist school in Maidenhead are on the hunt for a Sport and Behaviour Intervention Support Assistant to join their team starting ASAP. You role as a Sport and Behaviour Intervention Support Assistant will involve a lot of duties and responsibilities but most importantly you will be responsible for supporting the students in regulating and managing their emotions alongside their school work. The students in this school struggle with a rage of additional needs that badly affect their mental health and ability to cope with their emotions in healthy ways. Many have been diagnosed with social, emotional and mental health needs, and other co-existing disorders. While battling with learning difficulties, these young people also have to deal with stress and anxiety, often related to school avoidance and a tough family background. As a Mental Health Worker, you will have the opportunity to support these young people and give them the tools they need to thrive at school. Your duties will consist of various classroom duties, such as: Helping set up for lessons, helping tidy away lesson materials, providing general classroom supervision and behaviour management.
