What You’ll Be Doing:
As a key player in our team, you will:
* Drive the delivery of the test and commissioning plan.
* Support a talented team of nuclear mechanical commissioning engineers.
* Collaborate with the Reactor Test Group (RTG) to authorize test documentation.
* Act as an Authorized Person in the permit to work process.
* Review engineering outputs and documents for quality assurance.
* Embed learning from experience (LFE) into our processes.
Your Skills and Experiences:
Essential:
* A degree, HNC, or HND in an engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
* Strong understanding of nuclear systems and their testing and commissioning.
* Knowledge of overall submarine systems and their operation.
* Experience in supporting and coaching diverse teams in complex environments.
* Proficiency with IT systems and software (especially Microsoft products).
* Ability to plan test and commissioning programs effectively.
Desirable:
* Exceptional mentorship and development skills.
* Cat B Nuclear Operator or relevant nuclear industry experience (ideally from a nuclear steam raising plant).
* Experience on nuclear licensed or COMAH sites.
* Experience in embedding Learning from Experience (LFE).

About the RTS Commissioning Team:
In your role as a Commissioning Project Lead – Mechanical, you will plan and manage a test section and all associated activities. You will be part of a larger test & commissioning (T&C) program that encompasses several major engineering systems. This is a unique opportunity to embed LFE into the program and contribute to the realization of our test commissioning strategy. You will lead a diverse group of Commissioning Engineers, bringing a wealth of technical skill and knowledge to a project that is part of a national endeavor. Relocation support packages are available for eligible candidates across all Submarines roles.
