This is an opportunity to step into a senior leadership position within a progressive consultancy committed to raising standards across the retrofit sector.Retrofit Coordinator ManagerReporting to: Managing DirectorWorks closely with: Operations ManagerLocation: OfficeSalary: Competitive (Dependent on experience)Role PurposeThe Retrofit Coordinator Manager is responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end retrofit coordination function within Energy Efficiency Consultants, ensuring full compliance with PAS 2035:2023 and PAS 2030:2023.This role combines technical leadership, team management, quality assurance and operational improvement. The postholder will oversee all Retrofit Coordinators, manage risk and compliance across retrofit schemes, and work alongside the Operations Manager to continuously improve systems, workflows and performance across retrofit delivery.This is a senior technical leadership position central to maintaining EEC’s reputation for high-quality, compliant retrofit coordination.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Retrofit Coordinator Manager will oversee all retrofit projects delivered under PAS 2035:2023, ensuring that every project meets the required compliance standards. They will take responsibility for maintaining technical integrity across schemes ensuring that correct risk pathways are identified, documented and followed.The role includes reviewing and approving core retrofit documentation including Risk Assessments, Improvement Option Evaluations, Medium Term Improvement Plans, design approvals and handover documentation. The postholder will provide technical guidance and mentoring to Retrofit Coordinators and Designers, ensuring consistent quality and sound decision-making across the team.As a line manager, the Retrofit Coordinator Manager will manage and develop the Retrofit Coordinator team through regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews and structured development plans. They will allocate projects appropriately, manage workload capacity and monitor key performance indicators relating to quality, turnaround times, compliance and profitability. The role requires fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and technical excellence.Working alongside the Operations Manager, the postholder will contribute to reviewing and improving internal retrofit workflows, supporting optimisation of systems such as Monday.com, strengthening document control procedures and improving quality assurance processes. They will help identify inefficiencies, reduce manual processing and support the implementation of process improvements that enhance scalability and operational performance.The role also includes carrying out internal file audits, identifying trends in compliance or delivery risks and embedding lessons learned into future projects. The Retrofit Coordinator Manager will contribute technical input into tender submissions where required and support strategic planning for the growth of the retrofit function.Essential QualificationsThe successful candidate must hold a Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management and be a qualified and accredited Retrofit Coordinator registered with TrustMark. A minimum of two years’ experience managing a small technical team is required.Essential ExperienceThe candidate must have experience delivering domestic retrofit projects under government-backed schemes including oversight of high-risk pathways. They should have experience reviewing and approving retrofit documentation, managing compliance audits and improving technical systems or workflows within a delivery environment.Essential Skills and CompetenciesThe role requires strong leadership and decision-making capability, alongside a comprehensive understanding of building physics and retrofit risk management. The successful candidate will demonstrate high attention to detail, commercial awareness and the ability to balance compliance with operational efficiency. Strong communication skills are essential, both internally and in client-facing situations. Confidence in using digital project management systems is required, as is the ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple projects effectively.What Success Looks Like in This RoleSuccess in this role will be demonstrated through consistently high-quality retrofit coordination, strong compliance outcomes with minimal non-conformities, efficient and scalable systems, and a well-supported, high-performing technical team.
