This is a key role in ensuring our school site is safe, secure, and maintained to the highest possible standard for our pupils, staff and wider community.Working Pattern: Thursdays and Fridays: 11:00am – 7:30pm including 30 minute lunchAs a Site Supervisor, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operational management of the school premises. You will undertake caretaking and cleaning services, ensuring a high standard of maintenance, safety and presentation across the site.Key responsibilities include:Ensuring the security of the site, including locking/unlocking and responding to alarmsCarrying out health and safety checks and maintaining compliance with statutory requirementsSupporting the maintenance and repair of buildings and groundsUndertaking daily caretaking and cleaning tasks as requiredMaintaining outdoor areas, ensuring they are safe, clean and well presentedSupporting the management and use of the school minibus (training provided if required)Responding promptly to issues to ensure the site remains a safe and welcoming environmentYou will take pride in maintaining the school to an excellent standard and ensuring it is a place where pupils can learn and thrive.We are looking for someone who:Is reliable, hardworking and takes pride in their workHas experience in general maintenance, cleaning or site managementCan work both independently and as part of a teamHas strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approachIs committed to high standards of health and safetyCan build positive relationships with staff, pupils and external contractorsWhy Gwernyfed High School?
