Job Title: Senior Care Assistant - Days
Salary: £14.80 per hour plus incentives
Hours: Full Time – 7am‑7pm, 3‑4 days a week including alternate weekends

A little about Nightingale Nursing & Care Home: It is based in the centre of Edwinstowe, near Mansfield. The home is purpose‑built yet homely, with garden areas and provides personal, nursing and dementia care to 49 residents.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities for Senior Care Assistant
* Provide the highest possible levels of care in supporting and assisting residents in all aspects of daily living.
* Promote residents’ independence with a focus on choice, dignity and respect; contribute to shift handovers.
* Lead your shift to maintain high standards and support team members.
* Complete daily medication rounds, document consistently and ensure medication audits remain error‑free.
* Ensure daily charts are completed to a high standard by all team members on your shifts.
* Promote good practice, challenge poor practice, conduct regular one‑to‑ones for care team members every two months, investigate complaints and concerns as directed by the Home Manager.
Essential Requirements for Senior Care Assistant
* Relevant professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ minimum level 3).
* At least one year’s experience in a Senior Carer role.
* At least two years’ experience as a Care Assistant in a residential or nursing home.
* Knowledge of Person‑Centred Care Planning principles.
* Live within 30 minutes of the Home.
Preferred Requirements for Senior Care Assistant
* At least one year’s experience in a similar residential or nursing home role.
* NVQ Level 4 in Adult Health and Social Care or above.
* Experience conducting effective person‑centred one‑to‑ones.
