Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced OSS Project Manager to lead and deliver key projects within the telecoms domain. The role involves managing end-to-end OSS projects, engaging with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely, on-budget delivery with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage OSS-related projects (eg, service assurance, provisioning, inventory systems) from initiation to delivery.
* Coordinate with internal technical teams, vendors, and third-party providers.
* Track project milestones, deliverables, and dependencies using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
* Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring minimal impact on timelines and deliverables.
* Prepare and maintain project documentation: project plans, status reports, risk logs, and stakeholder communications.
* Liaise with business and technical stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
* Manage change requests, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and business priorities.
* Ensure compliance with telecom standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Proven experience as a Project Manager within telecoms, specifically with OSS platforms and systems.
* Strong understanding of OSS domains: service provisioning, activation, inventory, network management, and fault management.
* Experience with OSS tools/vendors (eg, Netcracker, Amdocs, Nokia, Ericsson, Ciena Blue Planet, etc.)
* Familiarity with integration of OSS/BSS systems.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
* Experience in 5G, SDN/NFV, or cloud-native OSS environments.
* Exposure to BSS systems (CRM, billing) and understanding of the full OSS/BSS stack.
* Previous experience working with Tier 1 telecom operators or vendors.
