ServiceNow Application Consultant Location: Glasgow Salary: £57-72K (Up to 15% bonus and single healthcare cover) Flexible Working Pattern, Hybrid (2-3 days in the office) Permanent Help us create a better future, quicker The ServiceNow Application Consultant is responsible for managing the demand from various business areas, acting as Product Owner, and ensuring effective design, configuration, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions. The IT Application consultant plays a key role in analysing business needs, proposing solutions, and leading the delivery of ServiceNow processes and configurations. They also oversee projects, collaborating closely with stakeholders, including senior management, to align solutions with business objectives and drive the successful adoption of ServiceNow across the organization. In addition to these responsibilities, the IT Application Consultant will perform Project Management activities such as planning, scheduling, and coordinating project tasks, managing project budgets, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones. They will also be responsible for risk management, resource allocation, and maintaining project documentation. The IT Application Consultant develops and implements the IT Strategy, making design decisions for UK IT projects that meet local and global requirements. They create and maintain models, templates, and frameworks for the team to implement business requirements within the UK IT applications framework, including Data Analysis and Customer Service Digital solutions. What you’ll be doing In this role, your responsibilities will include: Leading the design, configuration, and deployment of ServiceNow solutions that meet business requirements. Acting as the primary point of contact for managing and gathering business demand across corporate areas, defining the product vision and roadmap for ServiceNow, and prioritizing initiatives to deliver value to the business. Managing end-to-end IT delivery of ServiceNow projects, including scope definition, resource allocation, risk management, and progress tracking. Engaging with stakeholders at all levels to gather requirements and validate solutions, maintaining strong communication channels to ensure transparency and alignment on ServiceNow initiatives. Defining and overseeing testing strategies for ServiceNow processes, ensuring thorough validation and quality assurance, will be essential. Additionally, coordinating third-line application support to resolve incidents and ensure ServiceNow solutions meet SLAs, supporting the transition of new solutions into production, and ensuring operational readiness will be key aspects of the role. Identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization within ServiceNow processes and workflows will be a continuous focus, as will keeping abreast of ServiceNow advancements and applying new functionalities to solve business challenges effectively. Providing guidance and technical expertise to junior team members and Application Analysts, you will facilitate workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions to ensure a consistent approach to ServiceNow configurations. Contributing to the development and implementation of the business IT Strategy, ensuring alignment with the Iberdrola Global model and Architecture direction, will be part of your responsibilities. Investigating new application solutions for Corporate IT and working with external vendors to identify technologies that meet business goals will be crucial. You'll validate financial cost assumptions and ensure alignment of projects with core IT strategy at a project level. What you’ll bring We're seeking someone with deep expertise in ServiceNow platform configuration, development, and workflow optimization. With experience of managing demand and acting as Product Owner for enterprise applications, and experience delivering IT projects working with Global IT teams and vendors. Good project management skills with the ability to oversee complex projects and coordinate implementation teams, as well as good analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working across corporate functions. Knowledge of ITIL processes and frameworks is highly desirable. An adaptability to evolving business needs and technologies as well as the ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders locally and globally.
