Overview
Part‑time Sales Assistant at BHF in Cambridge – 13 h a week on Sunday plus one weekday shift. Permanent contract with flexible rota covering weekends, bank holidays, and rotating shifts.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver first‑class customer service at the till and throughout the store.
* Engage with customers, promote BHF’s mission and maximise sales of donated stock.
* Organise and merchandise donated items creatively to maximise sales potential.
* Collaborate with the E‑Commerce team to boost online sales.
* Act as a Keyholder – the go‑to person when a manager is absent, keeping the store running smoothly and ensuring a great customer experience.
Qualifications
* 18 + years old.
* Physical stamina for moving high volumes of donation bags.
* Previous retail experience not essential – passion, energy, and customer‑service focus are essential.
* Confident team player comfortable guiding volunteers on the shop floor.
* Ability to work well under pressure and independently in a fast‑paced environment.
* Attention to detail and a positive, creative, customer‑service‑focused attitude.
* Tech proficiency – comfortable using till, PC, smartphone, and e‑mail.
* Consent to a basic DBS check.
