Our client, a leading engineering company, is seeking experienced Fabricator/Welders to support ongoing projects within the oil and gas sector. Initially starting on a contract basis, the role will become permanent after a successful probation period.
Job Role
The successful candidates will be responsible for fabricating and welding components to precise specifications, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. The role involves working on a variety of products, including offshore modules, subsea structures, tooling, and pipe spools.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fabricate metal components using welding techniques, with MIG as a minimum requirement.
* Assemble parts and structures in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
* Operate hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal equipment safely and efficiently.
* Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to improve fabrication processes and resolve production issues.
Experience Required:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in fabrication and welding.
* Highly proficient in welding techniques, particularly stick welding.
* Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to interpret technical drawings.
* Proven experience in fabricating metal components and assembling structures.
* Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations.
Hours:
* Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
Hourly Rate:
* £19 - £22 per hour, plus overtime rates.
