Location:Tops Prince Rock, Plymouth, Devon
Pay rate:Up to £12.26per hour
Contracted Hours: 30 hours per week/ Full Time

About the Role
Our Nursery Practitionersupports the educational and social development of children up to agefive. Key duties include ensuring a safe learning environment, helpingchildren develop social and behavioral skills, and engaging them inage-appropriate play. TopsPrince Rock Nursery is a 42 place DayNursery & Pre-School situated in Plymouth.The nursery run several extra-curricular activities including cookingschool, Boogie Mites, yoga, tooth brushing and much more!
What does the role involve?
* Providing day-to-day care, including feeding, changing diapers,and helping children with toilet training. They also ensure a safe,clean, and stimulating environment.
* Developing and leadingfun, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development,focusing on key areas like social, emotional, physical, and cognitiveskills.
* Observing children’s development and identifying anyareas of concern. They help children develop their motor skills,language, and social interactions through play and structuredlearning.
* Ensuring that children are safe and emotionallysupported. They create an atmosphere that encourages children toexplore and learn independently.
* Keeping records of eachchild’s progress, including documenting milestones, behaviors, anddevelopmental needs. This is often part of the Early Years FoundationStage (EYFS) framework in the UK.
* Maintaining regularcommunication with parents or guardians about their child’s progress,needs, and any concerns that arise.
Whatare we looking for?
* A minimum of a Level 2Early Years Qualification is required.
* Have a strongunderstanding of safeguarding procedures
