This is a stable service with 82% of the workforce permanent, a supportive management team, and excellent resources in place to help you focus on quality practice. What You Can Expect: SWE registration paid annually Relocation allowance available 3 days in the office each week Parking on site (£3 per day or £20 per month) 1x Business Support Officer per team and a Family Support Worker to assist with visits, notes, and meetings Average caseload around 22 No lengthy recruitment process – just a panel interview, with informal discussions available beforehand Duties and Responsibilities: Manage a varied caseload from duty through to CLA Undertake high-quality assessments and care planning Build strong relationships with children, families, and partner agencies Work effectively in a duty rota (1 week in 4) Prepare and present clear, evidence-based reports for court and meetings Ensure all recording is timely and in line with statutory requirements Maintain professional development and reflective practice Requirements: SWE Registration Social Work qualification Minimum 2 years post-ASYE experience Experience across duty, safeguarding, and CLA Strong safeguarding and assessment skills Multi-agency working experience Full UK driving licence and access to a car Flexible and proactive approach to caseload management If you’re looking for a supportive, well-structured team where you’ll be able to focus on direct work with children and families – Stockport could be your next move.
