Business Development Executive Location: Haxter Wood Chase, Plymouth PL6 7FR

Salary: £24,000 – £40,000 per year (based on experience) + Uncapped Commission

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm (Flexitime: 1-hour window)

Start Date: 25/08/2025

The Role

We are seeking a capable, organised, and energetic Business Development Executive to join our growing team in Plymouth. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and play a key role in driving B2B sales, supporting the CEO and global sales team, and uncovering new growth opportunities.

You’ll be the engine behind our business development — identifying prospects, making high-quality outbound calls, booking meetings, and creatively overcoming challenges.

Key Responsibilities
* Proactively identify and engage with new B2B prospects via cold calling, email, LinkedIn, and other channels
* Make quality outbound calls to generate leads and book meetings for yourself and the field team
* Handle Microsoft Teams calls, coordinate calendars, and arrange meetings with decision-makers
* Provide admin and business support to the sales team across multiple locations
* Accurately update and maintain the CRM system (HubSpot) with client and prospect data
* Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and sales reports
* Collaborate with marketing to align messaging and campaigns
* Stay resilient and positive in the face of rejection, adjusting your approach when needed
* Support broader business functions in line with the company’s growth
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven B2B business development experience, ideally in a fast-paced setting
* A natural "door opener" — confident in cold outreach and building new business relationships
* Resilient, creative, and able to handle rejection with a positive mindset
* Highly organised and self-motivated with strong time management skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Team player who can also work independently
* Experience using CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred)
