The primary focus of the role will be ensuring the smooth running of the cocktail bar; ensuring all stock is up-to-date, the area is well presented and ensuring guests receive a high standard of service. You will also provide support to the wider Food and Beverage Team, covering service in the Lounges and Restaurants as required. You will work with the F&B Managers in developing seasonal cocktails and bar promotions.
Key Responsibilities
1. To maintain the highest possible standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation of the bar and adjoining areas.
2. To receive cash from guests and operate Squirrel correctly. To deal with signed bills and Restaurant transfers.
3. To serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to resident and non-resident guests.
4. To have an understanding of the Licensing Laws, including rights of refusal.
5. To keep constant control on costs and revenue in the Department.
6. To maintain a wide knowledge of mixed drinks.
7. To act as a Sales Person, promoting the image of the Hotel at all times.
Bar Person Key Attributes
8. Sound knowledge of cocktail work and UK Licensing regulations, a personal license would be an advantage, but not essential.
9. Previous experience in a hotel bar with high service standards would be preferred
10. Excellent command of the English language and right to work in the UK
11. Be extremely well presented
12. Attention to detail and the drive to deliver exceptional customer care at every interaction
