Job overview The post holder will be responsible for the collection of the screening van and driving/delivery of the van to agreed sites across Sheffield.They will ensure stock, resources and equipment is maintained for the delivery of each outreach session and secured at the end of each session.They will register patient details using the Inform software and collect screening attendance information.
Main duties of the job The collection of the screening van from RHH site and transporting to agreed sites across Sheffield based on the planned screening rota and return to base at the end of the session. Some events may take place outside of office hours.
Ensure the van is stocked with relevant consumables, resources and equipment to deliver the Sexual health screening service. This will include blood taking consumables and swabbing and PPE equipment.
The return and secure storage of consumables, resources and equipment at the end of the session.
Provide clerical support, to Sexual Health Screening team. Responsible for registering patients on the Inform system, recording safeguard information and collecting screening attendance information.
Support with setting up and clearing away clinical working area prior to and after each clinical activity, and support with cleaning and maintaining safe clinical working environment.
Collection and delivery of samples to RHH site for processing.

This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for a period of 18 months (until 31/03/2027) due to the post being recruited as part of a limited term project within the Trust. The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts taking into consideration the requirement for the post to be maintained as a part of the project’s implementation and the timescales associated with this.

Person specification Education and Qualifications GCSE at Grade C/4 in English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications) or equivalent experience
Experience Previous experience of driving commercial vehicles
Previous experience of delivery duties using commercial vehicles
Experience using Electronic Patient Record Systems, Electronic Staff record and other NHS information systems.
Experience of working in a public facing role.
Experience of working with administration processes
Previous experience of reversing large trailers
Working within a team
Skills and Knowledge Knowledge of / experience of using information and/or customer service systems
Ability to use initiative.
Professional approach at all times when dealing with a variety of people and situations.
Good communication and literacy skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Excel and Word.
Personal Qualities Full manual driving licence. Licences issued after 1.1.97 will need the following categories in addition to standard licence: B+E, categories C1 and D1
Flexible attitude to working hours.
Commitment to undertake all training requirements of the post.
