Brampton Medical Practice is a long established semi-rural dispensing practice operating over 4 sites (Brampton White Lion, Brampton Main, Corby Hill & Wetheral) with a registered population of approximately 16'700 patients
We are a part of a 4 practice Primary Care Network (Carlisle & Rural) with a registered population of over 75'000 patients

Main duties of the job
We are seeking a forward-thinking GP who is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred services.
The post-holder will Manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients
In accordance with the practice rota, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties, including online, face to face and telephone consultations, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and online and clinical correspondence
Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation
Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible
Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate
In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a Primary Care GP

Contributing to evaluation/audit and clinical standard setting within the organisation
Contributing to effective coding in line with practice and contractual requirements
Contributing to read-coding patient data
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Full GMC Registration with a licence to practise and entry on the GP Register
* Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice / Certificate
* Confirming Eligibility for General Practice Registration (CEGPR), or equivalent
* Included on a Medical Performers List or eligible
* Evidence of continuous professional development
* Evidence of other specialist interest /development / training
Experience
* Full GMC registration
* On the Medical Performers List (and never removed for a detrimental reason)
* Eligible to work in the UK
* Membership of a recognised defence union
* Ability to provide complete details of
* employment history
* Fitness to Practice:
* Up to date and fit to practice safely
* Health:
* Meets Occupational Health requirements (in line with GMC standards/Good Medical Practice)
Other
* Holds current valid driving licence or provides evidence of proposed alternative as means of providing emergency and domiciliary care to fulfil requirements.
