Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of pupils with complex SEN, particularly autism

Establish structured routines and use visual supports to aid communication and learning

Work closely with TAs, therapists, and families to provide joined-up support

Track and report on pupil progress against EHCP outcomes and individual learning targets

Implement evidence-based strategies to foster emotional regulation and independence

Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

Participate actively in CPD and contribute to the wider school community

About You:

Qualified Teacher Status - desirable but not essential

Proven experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ideally in specialist or alternative settings

Strong understanding of autism and related developmental needs

Patient, resilient, and nurturing in your approach to teaching

Confident communicator and effective team player

Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service

What the School Offers:

A warm, inclusive, and supportive school culture

Small, well-equipped classes and committed support staff

Access to specialist CPD, including training on autism, sensory integration, and communication strategies
