This is a key role for the Craven & Co. The role is wide ranging and covers, the leadership and development of the warehouse staff, accountable for quality control and standards of inbound and outbound items, stock control, ensuring orders are delivered OTIF, improving efficiencies/throughput, H&S within the warehouse area, cost control and reduction.
Key Responsibilities:
Overall performance of the warehouse and logistics.
Controlling and minimising costs.
Ensuring KPIs are achieved.
Managing training and development of staff.
Responsible for the quality assurance of all incoming and outgoing goods.
Ensure orders are picked, packed and dispatched in accordance with the KPIs.
Working alongside other departments to deliver on time and in full and the right quality to our customers.
Responsible for ensuring the equipment and ancillary items within the department are safe and fit for purpose.
Booking haulier requirements onto 3rd party haulier systems ensuring that haulage/courier costs are managed effectively.
Ensure all H&S protocols are maintained and followed.
Ensure your workspace (goods in/out, racking areas and the yard) is clean and organised.
Effective internal/external communications.
About You:
Education, GCSE in Maths and English.
Hands on warehouse experience, minimum of 2 years.
Experience in a supervisor role, minimum of 2 years.
Can use Microsoft office like Word, Excel etc.
Full UK driving licence required.
Counterbalance and Flexi forklift licence preferred but not mandatory.
Strong communication skills.
