 
        
        Band 6 Mental Health Occupational Therapist
We are seeking an empathetic Occupational Therapist with a keen interest in mental health to join the Cherrywood Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit. The unit is a 7‑bed inpatient service that provides short‑term (up to one year) residential rehabilitation to help service users return to independent living and regain confidence and skills in everyday activities.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to be part of an established, dynamic and friendly residential rehabilitation inpatient service. You will work as part of a Multi‑Disciplinary Team (MDT) to support the recovery of individuals in this context and will develop clinical leadership experience in a highly professional and supportive environment.
Key responsibilities include:
 * Assessment of patient needs and development, implementation, and evaluation of Occupational Therapy treatment and programmes of care.
 * Lead the planning and delivery of a high‑quality programme of therapeutic and occupational activities for the caseload of patients.
 * Educate, supervise and teach qualified and unqualified staff, students, patients and relatives.
Required qualifications and attributes:
 * Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
 * Motivated, flexible team player with excellent communication skills.
 * Commitment to working within an MDT and to delivering patient‑centred, safe and effective care.
