As Purchasing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the Royal Garden Hotels purchasing and supply chain processes meet our 5-star standards while maintaining cost efficiency and supplier excellence. You will lead the Purchasing & Goods Receiving team, oversee hotel stores operations, and ensure all procurement processes conform to company SOPs. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role is central to driving value, efficiency, and quality across the hotels operations.

As Purchasing Manager, you will:
Ensure all purchasing and supply chain processes comply with company SOPs.
Supervise the Purchasing and Goods Receiving teams, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all operations.
Oversee the secure and effective management of hotel stores (Dry Food, Cellar, General).
Liaise with Heads of Department to coordinate purchase orders, supplier contracts, inspections, and payments.
Negotiate with suppliers to secure best value in terms of price, quality, and service.
Regularly review high-cost items and proactively identify cost-saving opportunities.
Conduct supplier performance reviews and maintain strong relationships with key partners.
Monitor hotel operational costs against budgets, providing recommendations to maximise profitability.
Lead purchasing support for capital expenditure projects, sourcing FF&E and liaising with contractors where required.
Maintain compliance with Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, and hotel security policies across purchasing and storage functions.
Ensure departmental training, appraisals, and succession planning are implemented effectively.
Develop procurement strategies aligned with market trends and proactively address potential supply chain disruptions.
Preferred Skills and Experience
3+ years of proven purchasing or procurement management experience within a hotel or hospitality environment
Strong supplier negotiation and contract management skills
Excellent financial acumen with experience in cost control and budgeting
Solid IT proficiency, particularly MS Office and procurement databases
Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills
In-depth understanding of Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, and hotel operations standards
Project management and capital expenditure purchasing experience is highly desirable
