The Role
As Head of English, you will:

Provide strategic leadership and drive improvement across the department

Inspire, support, and develop a team of dedicated English specialists
*
Oversee curriculum planning, assessment, and the delivery of high-quality lessons
*
Monitor student progress and implement effective intervention strategies
*
Champion a love of literature, language, and learning across the school community
Desirable experience/attributes
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*
Proven experience of outstanding English teaching at secondary level
*
Strong leadership or middle management experience (e.g. KS4/KS5 lead or 2iC)
*
A clear understanding of curriculum development, data analysis, and pedagogy
*
A commitment to inclusivity, high expectations, and continuous professional growth
