We have been retained to recruit a senior fundraising professional for a fast-growing and ambitious entrepreneurial-focused international Financial Services company. This is a key appointment to drive further expansion of the investor base globally for their Private Equity fund.
The Role
The incoming candidate will be a proactive fundraising business developer with an established network of HNW/UHNW and institutional investors (family offices would also be advantageous). They will be:
· Building and developing relationships within the investor community, meeting and sourcing new private & institutional investors globally but with a primary focus on continental Europe as well as potentially the Middle East
· Understanding of the Group’s investment strategies and then ensuring the strategies are adequately introduced to investors
· Attending conferences and events and helping to develop product marketing material to further establish the brand name amongst investors
· Preparing and coordinating client materials such as marketing presentations, portfolio reports, Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs)
· Keeping up to date with investor’s allocation strategies and timelines, ensuring the CRM system is properly up to date.
· Keeping up to date with market trends and compiling market intelligence on products, Funds and Investors.
· Helping develop, budget and implement a communication strategy for the UK and internationally
· Managing relationships with external fundraisers, where appropriate
Person Profile
The likely candidate will:
· Be a highly energetic, committed and knowledgeable candidate who understands fundraising for Private Equity; ideally having relationships with a varied set of investors and can demonstrate experience of raising capital for Venture Capital and/or Private Equity Funds
· Potentially have been part of a fundraising team at a placement agent or broader alternative asset managers building and working with institutional investor networks
· Likely have experience of institutional markets, preferably selling private market strategies
· Ideally bring an interest, and / or track record of, fundraising related to Real Estate assets
· Be excellent interpersonally, adept at building lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders alike
· Have proven ability to communicate business and financial product information clearly and accurately
· Be a demonstrably proactive and tenacious professional with enthusiasm for raising capital
· Have the ability to travel globally to meet prospective partners and investors
Whilst a proven track record of fundraising is crucial, we will also be interested to learn of any professional certifications such as Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) which may be beneficial.
We also anticipate potential candidates will have an undergraduate degree in relevant subjects such as finance, economics, business administration or have equivalent qualifications in Wealth Management / broader Financial Services.
Remuneration
We anticipate this person will earn a significant six figure package consisting of an attractive basic salary and a strong incentive scheme to reward the successful raising of capital for the funds.
