Overview
Customer Service Advisor - Student Accommodation at Student Roost – location: Hillfort House, Brighton. Salary: £10,218 with overtime paid at 1.25x hour rate. Hours: average of 15 hours per week (contracted to 780 hours annually) between 8am and 8pm. Term: Fixed term 6 month contract.
We’re looking for people who will be at the heart of creating an exceptional resident experience by providing support, safety and a sense of community throughout their journey with us.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Provide exceptional customer and resident experience, handling enquiries and resolving issues to support safety and wellbeing.
* Support community engagement, events and day-to-day building operations.
* Assist with administrative tasks, payments and record keeping in line with processes.
* Contribute to a positive, inclusive and collaborative team culture.
* Assist with debt management and standard operational duties as required.

* A People Person – friendly, approachable, and great at building relationships.
* Confident providing exceptional resident experience, handling enquiries, and resolving issues.
* A team player who thrives in a supportive and collaborative environment.
* Tech savvy – ability to learn new systems quickly and have good knowledge of MS Office.
* Organised and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills.
* Comfortable with sales, taking payments, following processes, and keeping accurate records.
* Resilient, able to stay calm under pressure, particularly during busy periods.
* No prior property experience? Enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and a passion for great customer service are valued.
* Solutions-oriented, with the ability to think on your feet.
Other information: This role requires a DBS check for successful applicants. The role follows an annualised hours model, with hours distributed flexibly to meet business and seasonal demands (peak season typically July–September).
