SEN Teacher - Sheffield & Surrounding Areas

We are currently recruiting experienced SEN Teachers to work on a supply and cover basis in Sheffield and the surrounding areas .
About the Role
You will be working within mainstream schools, specialist provisions, or alternative settings, supporting pupils with a wide range of special educational needs. This role is ideal for teachers who are adaptable, confident, and committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
* Planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils
* Differentiating content to support a range of abilities and learning styles
* Working closely with support staff, SENDCos, and external professionals
* Managing behaviour effectively using positive and proactive strategies
* Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records
* Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS
* Experience working with pupils with SEN (essential)
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* Flexibility to travel to schools across Sheffield and nearby areas
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Desirable Training / Experience
(Highly advantageous but not essential)
* Team Teach / Positive Handling
* Experience in Autism, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or complex needs settings
* Personal care or medical needs experience
* Speech and Language support training
* Moving & Handling or safeguarding training
