We are the Bridlington and Driffield Community Mental Health Team, a specialist team which supports working aged adults who experience mental health difficulties. Our team is multidisciplinary with staff members from East Riding of Yorkshire Council and the NHS.
Responsibilities
* Support individuals to work towards recovery goals using strength-based practice and enable people to develop mental health skills and manage mental health independently within the community. This will be by providing interventions, monitoring recovery and signposting/referring to external agencies to promote good mental health, resilience, and social inclusion.
* Ensure that the legislative requirements of the Local Authority are met in the team and wider service, i.e. the Care Act 2014, the Mental Health Act 1983, the Mental Capacity Act 2005, etc.
Qualifications and experience
* Experience of working with adults.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Compassionate and positive outlook with a good understanding of mental health conditions.
Requirements
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle; a mileage allowance is paid.
* The post is based at Driffield base for 3 days a week and 1 day at Bridlington base; this split may change in line with service delivery needs.
