Core Responsibilities
* Curriculum Delivery: Planning and facilitating high-quality Biology lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The ability to teach A-Level Biology (including topics like genetic engineering and metabolic pathways) is highly desirable.
* Practical Laboratory Leadership: Leading safe and engaging practical investigations—from heart dissections to microscope work—ensuring students develop rigorous experimental and analytical skills.
* GCSE & A-Level Preparation: Guiding students through the AQA or Edexcel specifications, using data-driven interventions to ensure every learner achieves or exceeds their target grade.
* Scientific Literacy: Developing students' ability to evaluate complex data, understand the ethical implications of biological research, and articulate scientific arguments with precision.
* STEM Integration: Collaborating on school-wide STEM initiatives, including "Bio-Blitz" events, eco-clubs, and partnerships with local universities and healthcare providers.
* Pastoral Care: Serving as a dedicated Form Tutor, fostering a supportive environment and monitoring the holistic development of a specific tutor group.
