This leading multidisciplinary practice of Architects, Engineers, and Planners is continuing to win highly prized projects, leading to the creation of this position.
They are keen to appoint a Civil Engineering Leader (Senior Associate Director/Director) to manage their teams in delivering exciting international projects. As a Team Manager, you will be proficient in all aspects of design and coordination of civil engineering projects.

Our client provides services including civil engineering design, procurement, coordination, and project management throughout the project lifecycle. They offer both full multidisciplinary consultancy services and standalone technical services for projects exceeding £100 million in value.
The discipline has particular expertise in highways design, pavements, bridges, earthworks engineering, ground remediation, underground services, flood alleviation, sustainable drainage systems, pumping stations, sewerage systems, external works, and highway and drainage section agreements (S278, S38 & S104).
The role will involve:
1. Managing and leading project teams
2. Collaborating with other disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects (architects, building services engineers, project managers, and cost managers)
3. Assessing resource levels to deliver challenging projects
4. Mentoring engineers and technicians towards Chartered status
5. Preparing client/project proposals to win new work
6. Representing the client at project meetings, presenting designs, and making key project decisions
7. Preparing fee proposals and managing project costs
8. Constructing project teams from internal and external resources
9. Monitoring project profitability, costs, and budgets
10. Procuring project resources
11. Managing highways and drainage designs for large development infrastructure projects
12. Producing Flood Risk Assessments (FRA), Drainage Strategies, Nutrient Mitigation, and other Pre-Planning advice
13. Providing day-to-day client interface and conducting site visits for technical assessments or problem-solving
It is expected that you will be a Chartered Civil Engineer familiar with BIM, working to British Standards, with strong technical skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills to convey complex solutions effectively.
