Teign Housing is a successful social landlord employing over 200 ambitious, committed people, responsible for managing more than 4000 homes across South Devon. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team to ensure the wellbeing of our sheltered housing tenants giving them everything they need to remain independent and enjoy their lives to the full.
About the Hub Coordinator role
Undertaking regular visits and calls and responding rapidly to emergencies, you will build close relationships with our residents and develop a deep understanding of their needs. In particular, you will conduct risk assessments for new tenants, provide detailed information on the services we offer and oversee all aspects of property maintenance and security, whilst co-developing person-centred goal plans and offering guidance on money management, self-care and healthy living. At the same time, you will liaise constantly with external agencies to achieve positive outcomes and champion best practice in supporting older residents and those with special needs, so you will make a real difference to the way we think and work. Above all, you will be the principal link between Teign Housing and our tenants.
Helping us deliver cleaner, greener and safer neighbourhoods, you will undertake regular inspections of our estates and actively address any littering, antisocial behaviour or breaches of tenancy conditions and Keeping In Touch Visits with residents in their home.
About you
Fully versed in meeting the needs of older people, you will be experienced in managing teams, providing face-to-face customer support and keeping detailed records. Familiarity with the benefits and tax credits system would be very useful, as would a background in dealing with residents with challenging social, mental and physical issues, but more importantly you will be a creative problem solver and exceptional relationship builder with the drive and determination to make things happen.
