About Us:
Founded in 2018, 501 Entertainment is the global leader in social entertainment, dedicated to bringing innovative and engaging solutions to the market. As a pioneering tech company, we specialise in developing competitive socialising equipment. Our mission is to transform traditional activities, such as darts, golf, and more into digitally enhanced experiences that bring people together in fun and engaging ways.
About the Role:
We're looking for a QA Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our technical products. You'll be hands-on with designing and executing test plans, managing automated and manual testing, and working closely with developers and creatives to catch issues early and deliver smooth, high-quality releases. Core Responsibilities:
* Plan, design, and execute comprehensive test strategies for new and existing technical products, ensuring quality standards are met across software, hardware, and integrated systems.
* Work closely with the CTO, developers, and creative department to understand product requirements and ensure quality considerations are built into the design process.
* Work with the development team to create and maintain automated test scripts, regression test suites, and performance testing frameworks to ensure consistent quality in releases.
* Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing across various platforms and environments.
* Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools; work with developers to prioritize and resolve issues.
* Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations as required.
* Provide clear and detailed test documentation, test plans, and QA reports to stakeholders.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and standards within the company.
* Advocate for quality throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring a seamless handover from development to production.
Core Skills:
* Technical QA Expertise: Solid understanding of QA principles for technical products, including test planning, execution, and reporting.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with developers, creative teams, and leadership to ensure high-quality outcomes.
* Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Comfortable diagnosing complex defects across multiple systems or integrations.
* Tools & Methodologies: Familiarity with bug tracking and project management tools.
* Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot inconsistencies, edge cases, and potential failure points in technical products.
* Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal skills to articulate QA findings, risks, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Continuous Improvement Mindset: Passionate about raising the quality bar through process optimization, test automation, and proactive QA involvement in the development lifecycle.
